Industry veteran Helen Lee-Kim serves as President of International for Lionsgate’s Motion Picture Group. A key member of the film leadership team, Lee-Kim is responsible for leading the Company’s international motion picture business and oversees a film slate that has generated nearly $10 billion at the global box office over the past six years. 

Lee-Kim manages a global distribution infrastructure encompassing output deals and partnerships with leading distributors around the world. She also works closely with Lionsgate UK and IDC (Lionsgate’s joint venture in Latin America) and oversees the Company’s growing film activities in China and India. In addition to in-house productions, Lee-Kim oversees the business of representing films for key third-party producers in the international marketplace. She is also focused on expanding international co-production opportunities. 

Lee-Kim heads a team with unparalleled knowledge of the international film marketplace, strong relationships with best-in class talent and expertise in creating bold, original films that resonate with a global audience. 

Throughout her career at Lionsgate, Lee-Kim has overseen the international release of some of Lionsgate’s iconic film franchises including The Hunger Games, which grossed nearly $3 billion worldwide, as well as recent global successes such as the latest installment of the John Wickseries and the critically-acclaimed hit Knives Out. 

Lee-Kim first joined Lionsgate in 2007 under the first tour of duty of Motion Picture Group Chairman Joe Drake having worked with him at Mandate Pictures as Vice President of International Sales at Mandate Pictures. She then left to partner with Drake in building Good Universe before returning to Lionsgate in October of 2017. 

A graduate of Loyola-Marymount School of Film & Television, Lee-Kim started her career at IFTA (International Film & TV Association), the trade association that runs the AFM (American Film Market) and also held a post at Franchise Pictures as the Director of International Sales.
